Tkachuk...I thought the Flames made a good trade trading Huberdeau, Weager and the first rounder for really one year of Tkachuk. But the Flames will regret resigning Huberdeau to the second highest paid LWer at 10.5m X 8 years starting at the age of 30 years

From a value standpoint, the Blues would lunge at that like rabid dogs after a squirrel. From a need/cap standpoint... ehhhhh I dunno. Maybe they take it and sort out the overflow on the wings after.

For me personally, I'd only want him as a winger. He's like a Jaden Schwartz hound. As a C, not nearly as impressive. As least up to now.

Do you think Buch can play center? He was terrible at faceoffs but thought he played ok there when thrown into the fire last year besides that. Given an offseason to actually train there, think he could work...

Considering they just threw him at the deep end, yeah, I'd imagine he is capable of handling the position with some work. But I don't think that should be Plan A. Or even Plan B. It should be a card we can pull from the sleeve when needed.
