Gustafsson will get more in FA after the season he just had with Washington. Also, he is not a guy we need. With Raddysh getting a permanent role next year, the last thing we need is strictly an offensive d-man. Not saying that Raddysh is an OFD, but with Sergachev, Hedman and Raddysh, plus what Perbix contributes, we need a DFD. I would love to bring back Cole if he's willing to take a pay cut for more than 1 year potentially. Who knows what a Jeannot deal will look like after what he's done since arriving. I think a long term deal for him this summer is a mistake. He needs to prove again what he can do before he gets anything more than 2-3 years. Colton doesn't sign that deal. He may be willing to sign another bridge, but not a chance it's more than 2 years. I think the most possible deal options for Colton are something along the lines of -
1 or 2 years for 2,000,000-3,500,000
3-4 years at 3,250,000-4,000,000
or 5+ years at 3,250,000-4,750,000
But I think with the teams cap situation, he will likely sign a 1-2 year deal and see how he develops the next couple seasons. If he explodes, he will have benefitted well personally and will be able to cash in, but it won't be in Tampa, he will have priced himself out of the organization. Or if he stays at close to the same level he is at now, he likely gets a longer term Paul type deal
