OTT is never going to trade Cat to DET, Pinto has far more value than Lowry and OTT declines they not trading a 22YO 20 goal scorer for a 30YO who never scored 20 goals, yes on Joseph deal, replace JBD with Thompson and OTT accepts, remove the 3rd and 4th from BOS deal and its fair.

Fair. I was more leaning towards overpaying a bit more than underpaying. I like Lowry and what he brings even though he doesn't have nearly as much value as Pinto.

How about having a 22 man roster, not a 20 man roster before hitting the submit button. Be kinda funny trading for Swayman and then lose him to 4.3m offer shee for t just a second rounder .
Like most posts, DeBrincat isn't worth that in a trade.

Yes, the 2nd and 4th would need to be 1st this year. Anything less than 1st/3rd value is not going to cut it.

You don’t have a 1st this year But you have good young pieces that would work.

Boston would be more inclined to trade Ullmark though.

Age and contract. Only 2 years left on Ullmark. Sway is just exiting his ELC. He would be their #1 for the next 10 years.

Eventually they can’t afford both, it’s a matter of when. Potentially could be this year.

They have 2 #1s, limited cap space, and the #2 goalie in the AHL. Logistically they should move one.

However they could easily have Sway sign a bridge and keep both. Just don’t think it’s the best move.

Ullmarks NTC will be problematic and they have no desire to move Sway.

What are you talking about? A 2025 2nd straight up for Swayman? Irrational thought process.

that is the going rate for a backup with good numbers. PHILIPP GRUBAUER when traded had similar number to swayman went for a 2nd.

Exact same picks Ott paid. Granted the first is 11 spots back from what you guys paid. Also he still had a full year left on his contract when you traded for him.
