Then I think Buffalo is the wrong team to ask for that. I believe they will try to find a defenseman in free agency, where they don’t have to give up any assets.

This draft is deep but I think at least one of our firsts has to be on the table to add a new starting goaltender (IF they really move on from Jarry).

Can't say I would be upset with landing Hellebuyck by using the 2023 first rounder.

I would be all for this. That Carter trade is doing a lot of work here though haha.

Hear me out - scrap the Geekie sign and sign Athanasiou for 3LW? Move Poehling to 4C? Just a thought.

I wouldn't mind it but I just did Geekie because I like him. Hes bigger and younger and had 30 points

Yeah Geekie's fine as a 4C for sure. I was just thinking about pure speed - that 3rd line would be crazy fast. It would be nice if Geekie actually used his body though - the guy barely hits as much as Sid.
