And thats the problem with this league they listened to a few players complaining instead of improving the sport. Yea the original pucks had issues but that was 2 years ago and NHL has not tried to bring them back.

As KHL, SHL, Liiga use there own iterations and I haven't heard their guys complain.

Either way NHL needs to improve this otherwise were in for more of these unnecessary long reviews and more controversies lul

I mean, every skater had stopped, they were all just kind of waiting, play was dead, you may have never heard of the rule but it’s a normal rule to have

red paint technology...
it's brilliant.

MR pushed the pad besides - that's clear to all the camera's/tech and would have been waved-off too.

parallax is still an issue. having a sensor in the puck and on the top bar would go a long way.

cameras can only pick up so much and can't see through pads.

If every other adult hockey league is using them but NA leagues its a bad sign lul

anyways it's going to rock when everyone acts like the no goal call killed the leafs playoff series. meanwhile their top four forwards have two goals between them in 5 games versus florida.

There's no silver bullet fix, human element is part of the game (much like the Leaf gift goal a game ago...
Net can get jarred or is not set on the posts or goalies knock it off and then there's frame-by-frame bs to solve that (a common problem for some clubs) yadda yadda...

don't believe there is a perfect solution but you can always do better. clearly the current way they review tight calls is unsatisfying. look to improve it to remove the doubt.

The massive NFL-machine uses more "cameras in-game" than a Hollywood-blockbuster & there's still plenty of controversy every night...

the Leafs are down 3-1, it’s certainly an escape to say that the no goal cost them the series

Among other obvious candidates on the Florida Panthers, during the playoffs I have been very impressed with the elevated play of Brandon "The Machine" Montour, Sam Bennett and Radko Gudas. Montour literally has all his skating attributes maxed to 99
