Seider by himself is worth more than Kyle Connor, And you want the 18th pick on top shakes head

Vegas doesn't have the cap space for Connor Hellebuyck who's seeing 8 x $10,000,000 on his next contract.

I would consider something around Niederreiter (50% retained) for Yamamoto. But with Edmonton tight to the cap next year, sending Kostin out is a no-go.

Honestly i think Kostin has more value than Niederreiter right now, even without the 2nd round pick.

If I was Carolina I wouldn't trade Jarvis for Ehlers straight up, let alone add 2 more pieces.

Fair assessment. I put Seider or Raymond. I really hope you don't come back and say that Raymond is better than Connor.

Also, team can always find ways to make the cap work no matter what the salary range is. I would imagine Helle's deal in Vegas would come in lower than value because of the 0 tax.

Connor is 26 Raymond just turned 21 He has all the potential in the world to be just as good as Kyle Connor he just needs to bulk up a little. There's not a single player on the Winnipeg roster that i would even entice to give up for Seider who's already an elite franchise RHD.

Elite is a very high claim. I would say that would put him in the all time top 20 to play the game. I clearly do not see enough of him then.

In his 2 years Seider is already in the top 25%, If you look at his total corsi numbers the dude is a bulldog.

Not disagreeing with you. I just always thought that it would take most more than 2 years to gain elite status. McDavid, Matthews, Crosby, Ovi are elite, Mitch Marner, Sebastion Aho, Evgeni Malkin are really good, but not Elite.

I don’t know how you would pull it off, but it would be one heck of an off-season.

It sure would, definitely stock up with a ton of talent that can't leave us for 6-8 years.

What would Detroit give up for Connor? Would they move their 1st round pick because if so then remove Seider and Raymond from the talks. They could probably get the same caliber of player through that pick. No need to rush the rebuild.

Tbh, I hate giving up Beck and Mesar but if it means keeping our 1st's then I would do it.

That is kind of where my head was at. The florida 1st or Mesar. I choose the prospect.

Avs decline. They can't afford to re-sign Schiefele and should have no interest in him as a rental. In this deal they've also given up both potential pieces they'd line up to step in later at 2C after he's gone.

Agreed, pretty much the only way it works is as a deadline deal and then a 2nd is the likely offer.

Except it's not. It's Florida's 1st or Mesar and 2nd (MTL).

Can't blame you for trying to get the most out of Dubois' trade for Montreal. And at this point, I've seen so many scenarios and different kind of package, I've reached the "we'll see" phase. smile

That being said, personnally, I wouldn't do it if I'm Hughes.

As a Sabres fan I agree to this deal. Not too sure if Buffalo is on DeMelo’s NTC list
