Rangers can't afford Ehlers.

And Detroit isn't dealing Wallinder either.

Really, I have seen multiple posts by Red Wing fans suggesting Wallinder.

Yzerman is extremely high on Wallinder he's a potential top 4 LD whose offensive ceiling is every bit as high as Seiders he should easily be in the 40-50 point per season range. Once Detroit adds more scoring depth.

Appreciate the feedback, just going off Wings fans posts.

5 mil may be a bit much for him, but you do you.

Love Connor but I can't trade Wallinder. Like Marty Stuart says "I'm tempted."

I mean if it 100% brings Kyle Connor home, Yzerman would be absolutely foolish not to entertain moving him.

And it's my pleasure, As a Wings fan i would 100% make that trade for Connor.

If the Jackets were ready to compete for a cup right now and were only lacking a goalie I'd be all over that trade. As it is though, they just don't have the defense in place to support that kind of ambition and they're at least 3 years away from their prospects being that caliber of good if they pan out.

You'll be quite disappointed if you're expecting Sillinger to be a 1c. That's not what he is as a player. He doesn't have the skating tool or the scoring touch. He's a solid middle-6 C.

And like @dk325 said, if the Jackets were closer to contending I'd absolutely do that deal. It's a bit heavy for a goalie but Hellebuyck is a special goalie. I just don't think we're quite close enough for this sort of deal yet.

Appreciate the comments. The lineup isn't really set. This team wouldn't be a contender so doesn't matter where he goes.

Giving some respect to Wallinder - a heavily underrated prospect. I like that

This is a post where a Wings trade seems reasonable. It would hurt to lose those pieces (especially Wally), but KFC is a really good player and we'd have to give up some value to get him. I'm not sure whether Stevie would do it, but it's at least one he would have to think about, so good job
