I'm sorry you're complaining about Grier overstocking on players that fit the same role, and then you go out and trade for overpaid depth forward, as if the Sharks are need for any more depth wingers.

At least the guys Grier is signing have a ton of potential. Why would the Sharks ever need Goody back AND retain on Labanc going the other way. I'd literally rather have Labanc

Golly, Grier is acquiring too many prospects with upside. What a travesty!

Seriously, that Goodrow trade is hideous for SJ. Signed for 4 more years, overpaid and with a 15; team NTC and retaining on the better player.

Makiniemi is very injury prone, has already had two serious injuries that have kept him out for multiple months in his career. Even with Maki, who hasn't been signed yet, we only have three signed goalie and need 4.

Pulli was a heavily sought after free agent defenseman. Multiple NHL teams were trying to acquire him and he chose SJ.

Get a grip.

Goodness gracious, this was a joke fellas. I understand the swings. It's just that so far Mike is 0/4. Missed on Kunin and Linblom. I dont mind the signings its just hard to understand a little bit because we have Vlassic Ferraro Thrun Knyzhov Simek McDonald Cicek Mukhamadulin Kniazev Ohituk* Guryev and now Pulli. I just didn't have LD classified as a *Need for the team. As for the goalies I would be surprised if any of Chrona Maki or Romanov gets serious NHL time without the event of an injury. I dont know if either of these guys has upside beyond being a bottom pair defenseman (we have 1000) or even an AHL goalie

The idea behind the trade was that he would help strengthen our third line and can play throughout the line up, but as guys like Sturm and Lorentz get traded, he can fill that role. Just looking to provided some consistency in our line up as we go through a lot of changes in our organization. Again I haven't seen any model/page that gives either of our new signings more than a 30% chance at becoming an NHL'er .... ton of potential

0/4 on what? He's made a ton of incredible moves:
- Turned a mid 1st into Bystedt, Havelid, and Lund who are all already looking like steals from where they were picked
- Strum - Unreal value for depth forward/PKer
- Benning - 1.25 mil for another 3 years for a middle pairing d-man. best value contract on the team
- Kunin - solid player that had bad injury luck. Low AAV and little risk
- Traded Reedy for Peterson who looked like a legit top 6 winger
- Meier for a top 4 D prospect, Depth D prospect, young NHL ready Middle Six winger with top 6 potential, a 1st, and 2nd with a chance to become a 1st
- Gets Thrun for 3rd who has top 4 potential
- Signs Pulli for free - physical shut-down D man with middle pairing potential
- Eyssimont picked up off waivers and flipped for a mid-round pick without having to use a retention slot

Sure Lindblom and Svech have been meh but these signing were all low risk medium reward. We gave up nothing for these guys and they barely take up any cap space.

As for the overstocking on LD. It's never a bad thing to have to many 18-23 y/o with high potential in our system. At worst we'll be in a situation where we can trade for a guy who fits our need. For instance we had this problem with RD years ago and traded Demers for Dillon.

Kunin was not great before his injury and definitely not worth a 3rd + a prospect. Sturm and draft trades were excellent and benning has been a good surprise but Barbie is best value contract on the team. Meier trade was a C+ generously for the sharks but we won't know the real effect until years from now. Thrun trade was solid. Pulli has bottom 6 potential and we have a lot of guys like that. I dont mind taking swings or a lot of swings, just the Pulli thing was surprising to me because hes not better than Kniazev or cicek and we had just traded for two LD prospects and signed another one. Personally I'd give Grier a B in his first year, but I feel better about the club than I did a year ago.

- I didn't say Kunin was great. He's solid. Leonard isn't even a prospect at this point. And yes well worth a Third if he stays healthy. How often does a 3rd round pick even become an NHL player, never mind a middle six contributor like Kunin
- Barabanov is great value but now he's on the last year of his deal, so the fact that Benning is locked up for three more years at that AAV is crazy value.
- B+ return for Meier, A if they end up getting the 2024 first. Crazy that people wanted Holtz over Shakir. To add Zetterlund, another depth D, and two very good picks to that is insane value
- Pulli is pretty much already 7th D. From what I've read he's pretty much Zadorav/Gudas type player that can skate really well.
