Loved rossi coming out but I think there are enough reason to be cautious over making a move for him now.

Why would Minnesota trade their 2020 first for Boston's 2024 first?

To be sure, it is an idea born out of concern about Rossi. Just kicking the tires on what his value might be, if there were a taker.

Probably prefer to trade Zadina for Rossi, tbh.

You also have to consider where that draft pick is going to be.

Boston's 1st next year will most likely be a late one. Rossi is still highly touted, who knows if a team with multiple 1sts would be willing. Maybe I'm delusional. *shrug*

Why will it be late? Replacing a 1C and a 2C not going to be easy especially with limited cap space. I'll be the first to admit I thought the cup was theirs. Not to take anything away from Florida but Toronto for the most part has looked like they are satisfied with their 1st round victory.

Eh, they have the talent to at least get to the playoffs so I figure it will be #20 or so at the earliest. Maybe Bergeron runs it back one more time, too. Seems as though teams that win the President's go on runs the following season. See Tampa, and Florida.
