Dahlin plays his best on the right side and Power played some of his best hockey on the right with Samuelsson.
It's unconventional but the talent level of Miller is hard to pass up.

Can't see the Pegula's endorsing an offer sheet. Aren't they cheapskates? Not with the Bills obviously.

Kulich and Rosen aren't gonna be vying for a top 6 role this season. They're both likely gonna be in Rochester. After that they are trying to beat out Mittsy, Peterka, etc. I'm never gonna be mad at someone not getting minutes because the person there is too good to replace.

Still all speculation on that. They just didn't overspend money on free agents and gave the kids in the system a chance. Could an internal cap be a thing, maybe. Could it also be writers throwing poop at the wall with a pretty good inclination it'll be believable, yes. I don't see them building a new rink anytime soon but that doesn't mean they're gonna limit spending when the cap is still only 83.5M$ relative to the NFL, etc.

I hope Buffalo becomes a Cap team. They're building a Wagon there. It's not good for my Red Wings but I embrace competition. And I've always had a soft spot for the loyal Sabres fans who've always treated me well in their barn even though I'm always wearing my Steve Yzerman jersey. 😁

The issue with the deal as it appears to be giving up a first for Olofsson and Vegas may not want to move out of the first round.
We do not need to discuss the total value for a player who ranks 23rd among all NHL forwards with 1.6 goals/60 min.
But this deal is essentially equivalent to Buffalo's 2nd round pick.
It may not be Vegas but there will be a team willing to give up a mid second for 28 goals.

Mid second absolutely, that’s not dropping out of the first round in a deep draft. We both know this.

Jokiharju aside since people love to hate on him, it's hard to call two mid 1s and a decent goalie prospect a bunch of lame pieces. But if that's your take then have at it.

H J is decent but not enough to convince Chevy to part Kyle Connor though.

U P L has basically been hot trash since Buffalo brought him up. No way is he remotely going to make the Winnipeg roster.

    N O isn't anything special either.

The 2023 1st 13th overall pick is the only decent piece in the whole trade. And Connor is going to cost at least 2 1st even to even get the conversation going.

I mean Ostlund was a 16th overall pick less than a year ago and put up 0.7 ppg in a pro league overseas... good enough to be deemed top line potential by Dobber so I wouldn't call that nothing. He's also a positive impact player defensively by the fancy stat guys that watch prospects.
UPL had a bad year with his save percentage dipping below .900 but he was really solid last year and had flashes this year. I still think he could have a bright future but Levi is irrefutably the man.
All this to say that this is a really decent return and if Winnipeg is going to do a rebuild this is probably as solid a package as they can hope for since I doubt they get more than three 1s in value for Connor.

OK, so the Sabres have not made the playoffs for a decade and you balk at adding an elite goalscorer because he will block prospects that likely will never reach Connor's level?

As for value, if the Sabres ask for Connor the return starts with Savoie IMO.
