Not sure Montreal is the right city for Laf. He does not seem to be that mentally resilient and the pressure could crush him like Drouin. I'm passing on Laf even if they accept an offer like this one.

I'm sad it was said and it's obviously not the case.

Lafreniere looked good the few NYR games I saw, but didnt have a great playoff, and the pressure in Mtl might not make him a good fit.
Dubois will come at a discount, Im not sure why you just didnt send Anderson to Winnipeg for him with either picks or prospects.

Montreal should weaponize their cap space and retain money on Edmundson, Hoffman and maybe Savard, Armia, Dvorak. Moving Gallagher might be too difficult due to the length of his contract- but any older player with 3yrs or less should be on the block. Their defense and goaltending still need a lot of help.

Why on Earth would the Blues do that? Everything about that goes against their needs, and they can't possibly afford it, AND he ain't worth all that anyway.

Blues have no need or cap space for Andersson. Gonna have to send him somewhere else. The deepest position for the blues is on the wings

I don't think Lafreniere and Anderson will cost anywhere near those prices, but I also feel Laf maybe performs better closer to home.

Mayve at a trade deadline he can (depending on how he's playing) when the demand is higher and bidding wars tend to happen......but definitely nit during the off-season
