Detroit passes, Not dropping down 3 spots for picks that are two drafts away. Picks need to be this year not next year.

Detroit would be brainless not to accept that. However, on Arizona’s end, according to my draft chart I’m looking at that’s a considerable overpay.

9th OA - 6.3

12th OA - 5.5
‘24 2nd - 1.3 - 1.4ish range depending on where FLA finishes
‘24 3rd - .5 - .6 range depending on where COL finishes

ARI - 6.3
DET - 7.3

These kinds of trades almost never happen in the NHL anymore it seems like. Besides Detroit has 2 1sts and 3 2nds more likely they move up not down. There isn't a huge need to add picks.

Rangers trade isn't too off on value but I think they'd wanna hang on to Garand given how great his AHL playoff run has been. Certainly not untouchable by any means but also probably not a guy they want to throw away to fill a 3rd liner role that they could sign someone for through UFA

Wrong goalie. Choose Lindbohm over Garand.

That's not enough for Detroit to drop 3 spots. Florida and Colorado picks will be at the end of their respective rounds also.
Detroit would accept: 2023 12th Overall (OTT), 2023 38th Overall (ARI), 2024 2nd Round Pick (ARI). The 2024 2nd must be Arizona's pick. This is the bare minimum.
But even still I probably wouldn't do it. Detroit will be looking to move up in the draft if possible, not down.

3.01 and .894

idc about 6 playoff games. Hes a solid prospect, but holding him to some expectation of being a star is just stupid. Shesterkin was made in russia and lundqvist is the only example of a goalie doing well with him as his coach.

Raanta and Talbot both peaked when away from NYR

Slow down. He's our top g prospect and will develop here like Raanta & Talbot. Nobody's guaranteeing stardom lol. But he's not a throw in, nor traded for a spare forward
