I (obviously) like the Hawk deal and think it really benefits both teams. Wild get 3 NHL pieces at league minimum contracts to try to navigate the 15 million cap buyout issue which is really acute this Summer (Next Summer with contracts expiring and cap going up, the space should be there to hang on to TRad/Roos especially). TRad combo of production to cap hit is one of the better assets that may be realistically available for cap strapped teams to try to acquire. Hawks get a chance to reset 3 mid 20's assets for early 20's which despite Bedard will better fit when they actually can/should start to turn around in 2 or 3 years. I really like Roos as he transitioned well to North America this season even getting some NHL time and not looking out of place at all. But, you have to give to get and flipping Roos a LHD (where the Hawks are bursting at the seams with prospects) for a younger RHD where they are much thinner makes sense. For the Wild , Roos can be a depth piece this season for a playoff team as he has 2 full seasons of pro against men and Spacek needs to play some pro hockey before has a chance to be that in a season or 2). Katchouck is nothing earth shattering, but he is a legit NHL player on a 750K contract which a late 2nd might turn into that in 3 or 4 years....or it might not. Some of the value of that late 2nd pick (because Katchouck is not worth a 2nd obviously) adds to Bankier to meet the value the Hawk probably want for TRad to move him.
