We don't have cap room but we'll take it if you make it a 2024. We'll take Dubas too, you sign BT.

Lots of questions will be asked if the Leafs can’t make this series interesting. Can’t believe they are down 3-0 after earning so much confidence from a strong first round.

As a Flames fan, man I’d be keen to have a GM swap. Dubas in CGY, Treliving in TOR. Assuming TOR wants a fresh start and move on from Dubas.

Coaches: CGY and TOR would be looking at a similar group.

RE: Hanifin trade — I don’t see CGY adding the 2nd round pick. This is a pure hockey trade. Hanifin is a top 3 dman on most teams and my view is he is still getting better. Plus he brings a lower cap hit than an 80+ scoring winger.

I think the only way you win a trade when you are desperate is to trade with other desperate teams. Toronto and Calgary seem destined to be trade partners in my mind

I think the 2nd is fine in the calgary trade if there is some retention on Nylander for the season to balance out the caps a bit as Calgary cant afford to take on any extra cap.

Is he actually or is he just making room for Trotz and moving on? I will be curious to see

Unfortunately the cap doesn't work for the Flames here. Calgary already has to move out 1-2M in net cap space to run a 22-23 man roster for next year so taking on another ~2M is counterproductive

I'm not 100% sure. I like Boudreau but honestly anyone who is half decent that isn't Sutter works

We can agree, it's a hard no on Sutter. I want to see someone with experience
