More expensive, a position they don't need to solidify and they lose a top 6 center in the process leaving a gaping hole, I don't think there's anything that could make that deal work.

My friend, you might want to check out the Flames depth chart between the pipes. They currently have one of, if not the top goaltending prospect out there who is pretty much NHL ready, as well as Markstrom (under contract until 2026-Full NMC), and Vladar (under contract until 2025).

The likelihood of them acquiring a goaltender is hilariously low...the likelihood that they trade Lindholm for one is even lower.

The flames need a goalie, and the bs need a center 1. I think this is a likely trade to happen, it's just a matter of how is it going to look in the end. I'm not sure this is a straight up trade that happens though

Not really. Lindholm would cost something like a 1st/Poitras/and a 3rd mid level piece.

They might be more inclined for Swayman than Ully. Plus there is Ullys NTC.

Calgary has the top Goalie prospect in the league coming through the pipes next season. He won AHL MVP and goalie of the year twice. So they have 3 goalies and can't unload markstrom because of last year. They don't need a goalie and they don't need Kadri as their number one center. If they are trading him, they are rebuilding and asking for a top ten pick in the draft.

Thank you. My thumbs are sore from typing that over and over

Why would Calgary have any interest in Ullmark at all?

Then what is Calgary supposed to do at 1C? 🤭

Besides Flames have Markstrom, Vladar and young Wolf. I doubt they'd be interested in Ullmark.

You would be adding to the Calgary trade. Trading our biggest need for something WE DO NOT need help at makes the team worse, especially when we can't afford this, and having the top goalie prospect in the world, who has won 4 goalie of the year awards in a row, in whatever leauge he has been in, and even won CHL goalie of the leauge one year(which is 3 leauges)

Since when? Didn't they start last season with a Swedish goalie coming off a Veizna season on a multi million dollar contract? Who is to say Ullmark isn't the same? That aside, why would they move a 60 point C with a fantastic 200ft game on a great contract for a goalie who could have had a flash in the pan season after just getting burned by a goalie coming off a Veizna season? BEYOND that, if Markstrom and his 6M just magically disappears, why would the Flames block their pipeline of Vladar, Wolf, Sergeev? Including junior Wolf has won the goalie of the year in his respective league 4 years in a row, their goalie at the next level down was the USHL goalie of the year before going to UConn where he's the bonfide started next season. "The Flames need a goalie" is some of the most wildly thoughtless sentiment on here. BEYOND BEYOND that, when's the last time a goalie trade involved a 1C??
