Team: 2023-24 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: May 10, 2023
Published: May 10, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
At 9 OA - Habs draft Reinbacher, or fail onto Dvorsky
At 17 OA - Habs draft any of Wood, Barlow, Heidt, Gulyayev (in that order)
At 29 - Habs draft Dragicevic, But, Gauthier (in that order)

It may not be Elite talent, but the team would get bigger and this would be a huge infusion of skill at places where we are weak.

Is it's Michkov I think I might be on board but not for Smith. Don't see Carlsson getting there but he I would also be on board with.

I'm big on Smith. One of Carlsson, Michkov, Smith, or even Benson would be a step up from whoever's there at 9.

Benson might be there at 9. I'm happy with any of Moore, Benson, Reinbacher, Leanord along with others I wouldn't be disappointed in like Barlow and Dvorsky. The thing with this draft is so many players could be anywhere between #6-18 basically. Maybe not quite that late but you get the idea. Now what I'm arguing is the difference between one of those #6-10 players and Michkov greater than the difference between whoever we get at #17 and #37. The only scenario I see this happening is Michkov, Montreal takes Smith or Carlsson.

Yeah agreed. I think we have seen some late surges from players like Danielson and Willander that could both be top 20 picks. I know alot of mock drafts have Willander going in the second round but I see him going as high as us trading him at #17. I wouldn't be sad about it.

I would love to see a Benson/Michkov/Carlsson/Smith + Willander/Stenberg draft.

I haven't looked at Stenberg at all to be honest, I can't comment on him. Just another lefty lol.

Iyer was singing praises about him. Plus, big SHL guy here.

Makes sense, other players I would rather target but I don't know that much about so many of the players ranging from #20 on.

After the absurd amount of NA-league flops Holland drafted; I'm glad Yzerman is giving Håkan Andersson as much power as he is.
