So do the Sharks and Yotes, Offer isn't close for either Karlsson or Vejmelka.

I hate Karlsson so I jump on a solid top 6 forward, a Goalie at or near NHL ready who could turn into a solid starter and hound decent RD and a top 15 1st in this draft.

Those full NMC contracts can be difficult to move. Not sure about the Sharks but I don't think Buffalo even wants to move Skinner now.

You hate one of the best defenseman in NHL history? And so you'll take a crap trade just to get rid of him.

both teams decline the first deal, AZ declines the second. Vejmelka is a good target though for BUF

personally i think it's too soon to say that. he hasn't even scored a hatty as a winger

He is one of the greatest OFFENSIVE D men in history but he is oft injured and completely worthless in the D zone. He gives up a lot on plays and then throws fits and has really bad body language on ice, I’m old school I like all 6 of my D to play a D first game with a couple who also contribute a little offensively. I want the Majority of offense to come from forwards and D to be more facilitators in the offensive zone.
For all of Burns shortcomings he was FAR better defensively and more involved in the D zone. And Carolina I’m sure is happier with him then they would have been with Karlsson.

He isn't paid to play defense. He's paid for clean zone entries/exits, elite level offense. And at those points, there are few better in league history.

Ok but sharks aren’t going to be competitive while Karlsson is so anything we can get will be beneficial

Buffalo don't need all this, omg we just need a top 4 RD who can play defense, we don't need to trade our prospects for this or 1st or even Skinner to decline trade, we don't need EK 65.
