Is the 14th overall from the Pens for Laf fair value wise?

Goodrow doesn't waive for Chicago.

That lame offer doesn't get you Lafreniere.

Nichushkin could be under criminal investigation over what happened in his hotel room. And i doubt Panarin with his NMC waives for Colorado.

1st OA is ancient history at this point so utterly irrelevant.

Pretty sure he is. We need cap & depth and only have a few trade assets, plus he bites

Nolan Patrick was a 2nd overall pick. Guess he can't get traded for a 14th overall pick either.

3 years is hardly ancient and hardly irrelevant.

No, that’s just click bait Bs. They are getting a new coach to try and utilize him and bread better. If they need cap room then buy out Goody

In a deep draft like this it might be close if they are actually moving him, wouldn’t be 1 for 1 that’s for sure. Misconception is that he isn’t performing well, no one from his draft year has more 5v5 goals. Give him 3 mins per game more and some PP1 action and we will all claim it’s his breakout season. He’s no bust

Need to see it to believe it. Rags should trade him before he has another average season and get as much as they can for him.

look I love bread as much as anyone, but we are essentially swapping first-line wingers. Nuke's point production is pretty dang good for a 2-way forward, they're more equivalent in value than this trade makes them out to be. Also, you should want to keep bread, imo he isn't the problem in New York.

Rule of thumb for young player value, the player is worth about what he falls to in a redraft for his year. The fluctuations come from the strength of his draft vs the current draft, so Laffy is like 8th in redraft, but this year is very good, so he’s probably 12-17th

Seeing it is watching him year in and out and seeing his improvement as a player(I’m guessing you don’t watch 60-82 games). His number have been moving in the right direction. His ice time not so much. Kid line should be line 2 this season

Hawks wouldn’t eat that contract for anything less than a first round pick and a decent prospect.

NYR buys him out to gain extra cap space above his cap hit before paying to move him. Don’t worry about that

Anyone can pull some fancy stats out and make even the most mediocre players look good.

What I see:
1st overall
Decent offensive output good enough for most teams 3rd line
Invisible in the playoffs.

Maybe Bust isn't the correct word, but he is a disappointment. Rangers could have had Stutzle but they didn't expect to draft 1OA so they didn't scout Laf enough which has led to a poor pick.

Lol have you seen Goodrows buyout? Yeah you save in year 1 but you'll be paying him and he'll effect your cap hit until 2031.

😂 well if you aren’t going to look at real stats properly then ya, you’re right. He failed to get 100 points like other 1OA picks have. Put him in the minors or trade him for a 4th and pucks

Only possible way NYR move their #1OA 3rd liner is for another #1OA....maybe Nolan Patrick from Vegas?

My trade is a good one for Rangers. Trade him while his value is decent before nyr overpays him and no one wants him.

Have you seen it?

Gain space the next 2 years above his hit, then 1M, 3.6M, 1M, 1M, 1M, 1M.. by the time that 3.6 hits the cap will be like 92-95m 😂 and all the NMC are free to move or gone already
