There's no reason for the Jets to pay to help Boston out.

Linus Ullmark can block 1/2 of the league, So he's not waiving for Arizona.

Winnipeg doesn't need LD help, So they pass on Mike Reilly.

Columbus might take Matt Grzelcyk.

I don't see the first two trades happening, and not because Boston says no. Ullmark blocks the trade to ASU, and Winnipeg isn't giving up an asset for Reilly.

There are places you can move Ullmark for assets, unfortunately the team that really needs a few years of a solid tender I don't think Ullmark would permit himself to be traded too.

The thought was Boston needs affordable centers who can play. They're hard to find and Boyd is a nice player who comes cheap. McBain is a better player than I thought he'd be and is also cheap. The B's have only one center signed right now.

Yes, but why does Arizona want to trade decent young pieces for two seasons of Ullmark? And why would Ullmark willingly go to Arizona?

Ullmark has value, but you need to find the right match, and you only get to chat with 15 teams that Ullmark will let you talk to. It's unlikely notable young centers would be available though.

Just to add, I can't see Swayman signing that 3.2m X 4 contract. He'd do much better with 4.3m X 2 year offer sheet.

Yes Bruins need a cheap competent centre(s) but teams or Bruin players with M NTC have any obligation to help the Bruins cap, or even Swayman signing which looks like a below market long term contract.
