It will cost more than that to move up 2 spots. Nobody is going to move down and risk losing out on a star except for an offer that blows them out of the water, just the reality of it

Its actually not gonna take more. based on value charts this would get it done, but PHI would expect more. However, i think it gets it done.

IDK if the wings would do either. I think the 17/18 to 12th would be the move but i think you pay a little more.

Those 2 seconds could potentially be important to us.

Can't imagine it's much more than this. Maybe the 3rd into a 2nd, but would want a 5th going the other way.

Can't see AZ wanting to take on your bust prospect and move down in the best draft in a decade. Pretty sure Detroit is stuck keeping Zadina for another 2 years before he heads off to the Czech league.

Value charts only show math. Realistically trades aren’t just math based and value based. Danny B wants to make an impact in his first draft and off-season, flyers fans have struggled for years and definitely don’t wanna move down in the draft. So for him to move down it would need to blow him away because he doesn’t want to start out on the wrong foot. I agree the value chart probably agrees but that’s not the only thing that goes into trades and personally I think the difference between players at 7 and 9 is much larger than a 2nd and 3rd. Michkov or Benson or Leonard could be there at 7 but may not be at 9 and that’s a massive difference between that group and the next group down in the draft in talent

Depends on what the team wants to target.
You see a massive dropoff from 7 to 9; I don't. I think the drop off happens at 12/13.

Yeah that’s fair I think the drop off is large and large enough to the point I probably wouldn’t be happy moving out of 7 unless it’s 2 1st round picks

I wouldn't be shocked to see Pelikka off the board by 8. I really want him to Detroit.

Draft predictions are all over the place this year. I've seen Pelikka drop to 18, and I've seen him at 5.

I would do 9OA + 17OA for 5OA; not to move up only 2 spots. Drop off is not that large imo. If one of those guys aren't there; get Reinbacher.

Yeah 9 and 17 for 7 is probably my ask for 7 but that’s because I think the drop off is that large. Obvi both of us know less than the scouts and GMs so it’s all trivial but just giving u my opinion. I can also totally see 9 + 2 2nds for 7 but I’d rather have the 17 this year since the draft is deep. I think next year is supposed to be heavy on D so I want to grab all the forwards this year and reshape our D core next year since we already have 2 1st round picks next year

If we trade up twice and walk away with Leonard and ASP I'll be supremely disappointed.

I don't see the gain in trading up for Leonard or Sandin-pillikka,
