That's way too easy to beat by most teams for PLD. A mid to late 1st, a bad contract and waiver fodder aren't as valuable as you believe they are and would be easily topped by multiple teams.

PLD is effectively a 1 year rental to every other team if he actually wants to go to MTL. But ya that package is ass WPG would for sure want a couple prospects and likely have not interest in Dvo

1. Never respond to Windjammer… He thinks Win is a great city to play for and all the players line up to go there. And as soon as you call him out he reports you for his inability to move on.

2. Dubois’ value may be going down. Especially for other teams, so Mtl giving up Kov and a first brings a good value, Dvorak would tie their center for the contract term which gives them time. But yeah, could include another prospect. Maybe a 3rd pick also in 2024 or 2025.

Only reason I’m overpaying for Laf is that he was a Gorton pick who saw him as a franchise player, plus NYR would also need a bit more to calm down the fanbase.

I’m thinking Gorton would love to get his guy back so..

It was said he helped the Miroshnichenko’s contract termination with the KHL. While they released a statement indicating it was a mutually understanding, some NHL commentators have indicated he helped facilitate the deal. Who knows, maybe he is friends with Putin and gets an occasional favour for his support…

Yeah but he's not even worth half that anymore. Rounds out as a fine middle 6 winger but there's a chance he won't be much better that.

I think getting Lapierre and a first his good, Mantha is for the cap dump WASH needs. Maybe they add a 2nd round to the mix?

Habs could potentially pick Leonard at the spot which isn’t a bad deal if they can’t get Michkov to be released from the KHL to come to Mtl.. Wash may have the only player with the ability to get him out to pay with him.

You realize he will have to give up more right? either Fl and cgy first or one of those plus prospects and more picks. Look at Dach trade. Young highly drafted fwds dont move cheap

Yeah, too bad nobody is paying a Fiala or Horvat esque return for a 1OA player drafted three seasons ago who's never been able to crack 40 points and disappears in the playoffs.

I know Ranger fans are hard coping with the fact that he's probably a bust, but nobody is selling the farm for him until he can actually prove something.

While I agree with your statement, I would also take the chance for him to finally bring it with Dubois as his center. You never know what it can bring to have a new team and a good center both being pushed by the MTL local fanboy club.

It’s a gamble, but one I would take. Plus if I don’t pay fairly, NYR fans will come here and go nuts. So I’m trying put a more than fair price on his head.

I think the offer for 2 picks, Pezz who has grits and can put it in once in a while with Beck is more than enough. Hoff is there to see if he can shine on his contract year and has little consequences to the Cap Hit NYR will want if they want to keep Tarasenko.

If you just want to troll everyone, you can just stop and move on to another post. No one is actually looking to you for an opinion.. Bro.

Michkov will be difficult to get out from Russia even if Ovechkin (what?) could get him out. Michkov's best bet would have been to do what Malkin did (hide out in Finland for about a week before flying to the USA, but do to political developments Finland has shut their border with Russia and having him escape Russia could be extremely difficult seeing as he is very recognizable)

Apparently, according to Friedman, PLD is willing to go to more teams than Montreal, so the most likely scenario is that he's traded to a team where he's willing to extend. To Jets fans, it doesn't matter where he goes, as long as Winnipeg gets the best return possible.
