The 1st round pick is the main piece, Boeser is the downgraded replacement. The 2 other pieces are to win the bid, but frankly, I don't give them a lot of value.

Leafs are getting rinsed on the Matthews trade. Matthews will get you atleast 3 firsts+++. Marner and Nylander trades are fair though value wise, just dont know if the canucks or caps are committed to the retool or rebuild

Depth isn't having a lot of bottom 6 players... Kuzmenko is the only top 6 one. Not gonna drive a powerplay with those.

Garland and Boeser are both top 6 players. Podkolzin and Hoglander have the potential to be. Beauvillier and Mikheyev both played great (partly because Pettersson elevated them but still were good fits)

Wilson's best years are behind him and Kuzy isn't worth half his contract with his production and "personnal issues". Gonna cost way more for 2 years of a 100 pts player.

Garland is a very good player. He would be 6th on the Leafs on points. Last time I checked, there are 6 players in the top 6. He also put up those points playing with bottom 6/AHL callups

In 2021/22 he was 29th in 5v5 points, above players such as Conner, Rantanen, Forsberg, Nylander, B Tkachuk, Zibanejad, Debrincat, and Tavares. And he had a higher 5v5 P/60 than McDavid, Draisaitl, Pastrnak, Ehlers, J Hughes, Barkov, Panarin, Ovechkin, and Guentzel

Garland would have been the 6th highest scoring forward on the leafs. ALL of Mikheyev, Kuzmenko, and Boeser had a higher PPG then Bunting as well. That's 4 top 6 wingers. We don't need wingers

Over the final 20 Games if this season (so the entire time since he came back from injury) Wilson scored at the highest rate of his career. His best years are absolutely not behind him, that’s stupid.
