  1. 2023 3rd round pick (LAK)
  2. 2024 1st round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
2024 1st is top 10 protected.

I thought about including Olofsson in this trade, but I’m not sure how Buffalo would see him. If he is a cap dump I’m more than willing to have him but if he throws the value off to much they can keep him.
2.
CHI
  1. Murray, Matt
  2. 2024 1st round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Murray is there to provide extra relief and incentive.
TOR
  1. Raddysh, Taylor
Additional Details:
I think Raddysh is an underrated trade chip and I think he could fill the hole left by Bunting assuming he goes in free agency.

Raddysh has some size, a decent shot, is signed to a cheap deal for next season and won’t be due for a massive raise unless he has a monster season next year. Outside of Tampa he has a history of playing with elite players in Juniors and with Chicago last season. He’s got the tools to be a power forward and took a step in the right direction in Chicago last season. Is he worth a first? To Toronto who stated that they like the certainty that they get with their own prospects compared to draft picks I would say maybe, or at least they should think about it.

The TOR trade is a bit tough timing wise, no? Murray needs to be gone before the season starts, but TRad's value is maximized at the TDL. The Hawks can likely get more that this at the TDL.

Edit...didn't see VAN. TMyers isn't that big a cap dump. Post bonus only $1M owed. AZ will take him for free I'm sure.

I would say this happens at the draft and Murray is included so they have more flexibility entering free agency. It’s a tough sell, but one that works timing wise IMO.

As far as maximizing his value… I’m not worried about that because I don’t think he would fetch much more at the deadline and im not concerned with a late 3rd being added.

So the whole here is Matt Murray and a 1st is never going to happen, He's buyout easy and friendly, makes 0 sense to send that asset to save 687000 against the cap

Murray is added as a bonus, as the other more coherent side of the trade details suggest. The main piece for Toronto is the 20 goal scorer on a league minimum deal.

I also remember hearing the same rationale about how Toronto wouldn’t include a first to dump Mrazek last year so at the very least I wouldn’t be so certain.

Are you suggesting this is a top 5 best team in the league next year? Because this looks more like a top 5 lottery pick team next year.

Why didn't you bring back Toews and Kane to cover up more sexual misconduct?

It’s Bedard’s team now, also Kyle Beach’s trauma is not so cheap as to be used to Jab fans of the team. We did nothing wrong, and everyone involved with that situation has either been fired or moved on.

Understand that and be better.

I was considering a post trying to acquire as many connors as possible to go along with the Connor line in this post. Perhaps that comes later.

Until the ownership changes, the organization doesn't deserve fans. If this happened in my Red Wings organization, I'd probably be a a Hawks, Leafs, or Jackets fan.

I will not "be better." Reminding people of what happened IS being better. The league swept this under the rug so fast it is sick. Don't forget, the Hawks knew of Aldrich's despicable acts, and wrote him a letter of recommendation.

The Hawks should have been punished far worse. If th LA Clippers owner can be forced to sell the team for saying racist things, the Hawks ownership should have been forced to sell for supporting a rapist.

I think Raddysh on the Leafs would be an awesome addition, but we could get much more out of that 1st. I would still be interested in making a pitch for him though

The way the league handled it can be criticized for sure, but that’s not what you are doing. You are bringing up someone else’s trauma when it is convenient for a quick rise from a group of people who are equally disgusted with what happened. The people who held the most responsibility have been punished, the franchise was able to reach settlements with the affected parties and while that does not excuse the actions that took place there should eventually come a point when healing can start to take place. Don’t misunderstand what I say, healing doesn’t involve the mindless forgetting of what caused harm, but it also doesn’t include tactlessness in reexamining the wound.

You can consider what you would do if it had been the redwings involved in this scandal, but it’s a pointless exercise because it wasn’t them. Instead I challenge you to look beyond the names and places and see that this atrocity was allowed to take place due to an overarching toxic hockey culture.

I think this is the kind of move that would open a lot of possibilities for the leafs. Resigning RoR for one.

Yes but Myers is already going to be pretty cheap to move once his bonus is paid and Garland retained is in no way a negative asset

Most fans are ok with ownership changing hands..in fact most of us would prefer it...and were just as disgusted as everyone else. I'm surprised Cheveldayov still has a job, but he does...for now.

Also, SUPER RICH coming from the Red Wings, BUT then again I shouldn't be surprised...Red Wings fans...

Home of the forced play while concussed, WILLINGLY accepts opponent parylization, public urination, and home of Billy Taylor. You want to talk about horrible ethics...look in the mirror

Two wrongs don't make a right, but make sure your house is clean...WHICH ITS NOT!... before diving into another teams past.

Myers gets his bonus on day 1 of free agency right? He might be easier to move after UFA dies down, but what’s the point of moving him then?

The point of moving him then is just because you can be over the cap until after his bonus is paid (I think) so they can still pursue FAs, I may be wrong though

That’s true, you can go above 10% of the cap but I would think this invites unnecessary leverage to the team that is acquiring Myers.
