Hawks decline. Garland has nowhere near that sort of value, at least to the Hawks. Rathbone has none. He's an AHL guy in the Hawks system.

Conveniently ignores the cost to move up in the draft. Easy to knock any trade especially without addressing it in its entirety let alone a counter offer coming back.

I think I'd do it if you made the Chicago 2nd the Ottawa 2nd. I think that early 2nd is going to be important in catching some guy who fell out of the 1st round

I agree with a thought from each of the last 2 posters...Rathbone has no value to the Hawks who have a half dozen LHD that will need some NHL games with 2 or 3 that probably should be in the NHL most of the season. The Hawk 2nd probably needs to be replaced by the Ottawa 2nd. There probably is a one stop shop deal including Myers once his Summer bonus is paid. I think the Hawks would want a 3rd or 4th attached to him to cover the cost of the million he is owed and to eat a substantial chunk of cap and that value could be achieve by maybe flipping one of the 2nds to a third.

Something lIke #11OA, Myers, & Garland for #19OA, #44OA, & #89OA would be my counter. I like Garland, but I don't love him and I am less of a fan of the 3rd year on his deal you would have to take.
