Hanifin is "fat?"

I would take Hanifin over Stecher 11 times out of 10 and I like Stecher a lot

DET adds. Vladar’s worth the equivalent of a 2nd

IF Hanifin is Traded, he’s a Prime Sign & Trade Candidate, so I’d be looking for more like a 1st + 2nd + 3rd + Roster Player =

2023-1st-PIT + POJ or Poulin + Legare or Svejkovsky + A. Nylander

Detroit isn’t spending those assets. Ned for a 3rd (90 something) after he was in the Calder running, Husso for a 3rd (73) after his run with St. Louis. Not giving up a 2nd (43) for Vladar.

Ned was a 3rd + Bernier who was worth a 3rd, if not 2nd himself

Husso had one good season and a poor playoffs and came with no contract, costing DET $4.75mil/yr

Vladar has a very affordable $2.2mil similar to Ned

Best thing DET could do is sign Ned for lower and hope he rebounds. Otherwise, if you want Vladar, come up with more than just a 3rd

And that’s fine, I didn’t mean it from the value side, rather SY’s history. Unless the FA class dries up, it doesn’t make much sense to trade what could be a useful asset for a back up stop gap.

Vladar would be the 1B and competing to take over the Starting Role over Husso for sure

Cossa likely needs another two years to be NHL ready anyways

I want them trying to get one competent, cost efficient guy who signs for 3 years. He splits the net with Husso or it goes starter/back up for two years. Husso is dealt leaving Cossa to assume the same role before being handed the reigns in net, where he stays valiantly forever! But to dream.

Well I live in EDM and we enjoyed Cossa on the Oil Kings
