No way all those teams accept. Bouchard was a beast in the playoffs, Debrincat is better in my opinion then Marner and the ducks trade, do i even need to explain why

Yep. I say the contract. He would think you be telling him a joke

Honestly, if ADB doesn't want to come back, I'd be fine with that trade. Marner has consistently put up 90+ points. cap is the issue but eh figure it out

1. Marner will not waive his NMC.

2. DeBrincat will think you're a cheapskate.

The object of acquiring Auston Matthews NOW instead of waiting for him to become a free agent in 2024 would be to ADD him to the core of Zegras, Terry, McTavish and (presumably) Fantilli, not trade two of them away.

And as a strong Anaheim fan, I'm eminently qualified to tell you that the defenseman we get from Edmonton for Silfverberg, our 2024 second and an over-the-horizon third is Cody Ceci, not Evan Bouchard. And that's if we retain 50%.

I'm embarrassed......a real homer post.
Why would any team offer ROR at 9m X 5 years

Lol, how did I assume this would be another ridiculous Matthews to Anaheim deal?

if OTT cannot afford Cat at 9M, what makes you think they can afford marner at 11m,

gross overpay on the ANA deal, no way ANA does that
