Jets decline hallander is gone for 5 years in Sweden and a random goalie whos already 24 ain't the extra pieces the jets would want especially if they are retaining

play o'connor over Nylander. and the hellebuyck is a good idea, just switch Lindberg with pickering and I think we get the deal done.

I think adding Pickering would be an overpay. Hellebuyck wants out and is a rental. 14 overall might even be an overpay.

The goalie also signed in Finland so he has as much value as Hallander lol.

Wasn't this last year his last signed in Finland though?

There would be better offers for 50% retained Hellebuyck

Not sure you'd get better than 14th overall in a very deep draft

Proposing it? Once? Sabres fans said UPL, 13th, 2nd, 3rd was an overpay.

Since when does one year of Hellebuyck and an overpaid Wheeler return you a top 15 pick, 2 very young guys, another first. Wheeler has negative value.

I'm not upset. But no, Sabres wouldn't take that deal. Just because one Sabres fan thinks it's a good idea. Look at the rest

And guess what sorry to burst your bubble here but it's more than 1 agm. Also buffalo actually has prospects and a goalie that makes sense on top of the pick being 13 rather than 14. If Pittsburgh really wants helle especially at 50% it's 13th a 2024 first and a prospect

Pal I've check the past 3 pages. None of them were that trade.

Go ahead... make an ACGM with that trade and see the results if you really believe he has that type of value as a rental. If anything you'd have to add a first to tour side for them to take Wheeler off your hands. Yes I exaggerated with that

I'm not saying the exact trade genius. The point is the 13th pick upl and other assets are available for helle and we don't have to retain but can for more return. Pittsburgh simply doesn't have the assets to compete for Hellebuyck

Edit: he can always resign with buffalo. Real young and up and coming team kinda like Ben bishop to Vasilevskiy in Tampa. Any team that trades for him won't see him as a rental and try to sign him lol

We have Blomqvist who we could trade and hes a pretty underrated goalie prospect. If we dont trade him hed be our goalie of the future. But I'd move him to get help right now.

And please share with me how Hellebuyck even at 50% retained is worth 14th ovr, 2024 1st, and a prospect

How many top 5 goalies can you realistically have on your team that has a cap hit under 3.2m? The retention really adds to the value as it's a full year of retained salary which helps for the offseason, throughout the season, more affordability at deadline. The fact is cap is gold and especially going into the offseason and free agency. So 14th 2024 first and a prospect ain't that far off compared to what other teams can offer. Pittsburgh could do prospects but with the lack of depth it becomes the 2024 first

Fact is, goalies dont have the same value as say top 5 centers or wingers or defenseman. As a rental hes not quite worth that

He likely wouldn't be seen as a rental to some teams (horvat to nyi as an example)

Well it depends. You'd think they'd let you talk to teams or tell them if hed sign before he got traded. I like to think he gets around the same but a little more than what Anderson got in 2015 when he was traded to Toronto. He was a consistent .918 or higher in those years

Anderson didn't have a vezna let alone 3 nominations, consensus top 5 goalie and 1st in many stats such as starts, saves and other important ones

jets decline, and rutta for a 6th and giving up a second for gryzelcyk is just a latteral move, and your losing value there.
