Armia makes 3.4 and has been a healthy scratch repeatedly. You’re gonna have to pay someone to take him

Dont think PHI says yes. Allen is too old and expensive and isnt offset by Edmundson, and PHI has too many LD.

Armia doesnt have any value, probably cost a 4th AT LEAST to move him

Armia is an average bottom sixer, fourth liner on a contender. Need to add a sweetener to move him

Dufour is from Quebec, so he's just going to leave the Isles and sign there in seven years when he hits UFA anyway, so may as well deal him for a ****ty cap dump now. /s

Well that's just not true at all. Armia was injured and dealt with an illness. Not an healthy scratch.

My bad, he was only a healthy scratch once, Jan 4th. He’s also been a 20ish point pace guy 3 years running being paid 3.4M. So point stands, he’s not very good, was a healthy scratch (not multiple times, corrected) and not worth his contract.

That's one side of his story, yes. He's not a point producer, and tends to produce in sequence (see JAN 5th through FEB 16th, where he 4 goals and 4 assists in 9 games) or have a highlight game out of nowhere. But he still remains an effective defensive forward, giving good PK minutes, and providing good puck protection along the boards in the offensive zone. He's not worth $3.4m a year. But now that the Habs have some caproom, and can afford to retain some salaries, I expect Armia will be a "coveted" forward at the deadline, at $2.0m AAV (with $1.4m retention).

Agreed, and that would change the conversation. I had high hopes for him when Buffalo drafted him. He’s a fine bottom sixer paid like a middle one is the problem. Make it 2M, and I could see teams interested
