You will need to drastically lower your expectations on those first three trades. You won;t get half of that for one year of Matthews, man. C'mon.

This is like 7 first round picks worth of value, for one year of Matthews. Why would he ever re-sign after you just traded away everything he’d be interested in playing with? It makes less than 0 sense for Arizona to trade for him, just wait until free agency.

Auston Matthews is not worth an PPG+ 24 year old, a top prospect, and the 6th and 12th overall picks this year. he just isn't. especially not to a young, rebuilding team. McDavid can't even carry a team with Draisaitl on it to a Cup, Matthews isn't getting that team anywhere with Nick Schmaltz

As good as Matthews is that's terrible for Arizona, terrible for the Islanders and Avs as well.

Brodie wouldn't waive but the Jets shouldn't do that anyway, trading back 10 spots for Brodie would be a really bad move.
