Additional Details:
Vancouver Gets a stud Swede to play with Pettersson or Miller in the top 6 coming of a career year as a PPG scorer.

Conor Timmins can get legitimate ice time on team that needs NHL calibre defenseman and he can play minutes on Vancouver's PP2. At worst he's a depth defenseman.

While injury prone, Nick Robertson is still a legitimate top flight prospect in Toronto's farm system and is a fringe NHL ready talent making him ideal for Vancouver's re-tool phase.

Roni Hirvonen is a top 7 Prospect in the Leafs farm system who has legitimate top 9 potential.

Canucks get an additional 4th and 5th round pick as the retention on Boeser gives Toronto some remaining cap flexibility.

Boeser is in terrible need of a change of scenery as he has stagnated in Vancouver and any extension he gets will likely be lower than his current contract which benefits a Toronto team that is cap strapped.

Garland has been rumored to be shopped around and provides that 3rd line scoring punch Toronto has continued to miss dearly in the post season while still bring a strong two way game. He's money in the bank for 40 points a season and is accustomed to a 3rd line role.

The buyout on Murray's contract is sub a million this season and 2 million next. I would so much rather do the buyout than trade assets away. The Leafs got a 3rd and a 7th for taking two years at his $#. They shouldn't pay anything more than that to rid themselves of one year. Keep in mind, when he plays, still a good goaltender. Likely the contract is insured for those LTIR times. AND his buyout is quite friendly. It shouldn't take much to move on from him.

And just a point of contention; Toronto doesn't miss 3rd line scoring, they miss top 6 scoring. The big guys continue to not show up or get shut down, whether by the different 'playoff' rules or by their own selves, I don't know.

So the proposal is:
- a "stud swede" top-6 PPG forward
- an "NHL calibre defenseman" that can run a PP2, "at worst a depth defenseman"
- "a legitimate top flight prospect"
- a "top 7 prospect who...has legitimate top-9 potential"
- a 4th round pick
- a 5th round pick

FOR

- a forward "in terrible need of a change of scenery as he has stagnated "
- someone "rumored to be shipped around", "3rd line scoring"

Dude no.
