Slaf will be a much better playoff guy than Cozens with similar regular-season production. Don't see why Habs should even consider this trade

Honest question, why do you value more. Suzuki our Slaf? No real wrong answer I’m just curious

I'd say if Suzuki wasn't captain, then Slaf. The fact that Zuki is a captain changes things, but looking at the player, Slaf is a more valuable asset in his prime than Suzuki

Just a weird trade in general, sure the value is there but cozens is basically the perfect fit for where he is and is signed for the next 7 years.

The guy led his weak time to a bronze medal. That is a much more playoff environment than the regular season. Obviously, it wasn't with the pros, but Slaf was 18. He also performed better in the playoffs in Liiga than in the regular season, and he was good in that run.

And that’s fine, Cozens is Suzuki except younger and probably a little better. Slaf has a chance to be special, Cozens is already on the track to be good/great. I get it. If Slaf doesn’t show it this season, I’d think that tune might change, but it’s not far fetched to me in the slightest.

Again, how can you say that about him vs Cozens. Should look at Cozens tournament stats. They’re pretty impressive. My point is you don’t know how either will fare in the Stanley cup playoffs but you are talking like it’s a sure fire thing even though both performed very well in the areas you highlightedc except you dismiss Cozens and elevate Slaf.

Ok, I made it seem like I discredited Cozens, which isn't what I want to do. The point is more that Slaf is the exact type of guy you need for a Playoff run. Basically, if the Habs win a cup, Slaf has is most likely gonna be the Conn Smyth winner, while if BUF wins it, I think Tage or Dahlin wins it.

I mean, now Habs fans are going to get mad at you. Both this and the prior trade makes zero sense for Montreal.

You know, you're allowed to to cheer for a team that's rebuilding and wait more than a year for players to develop. Like, Cozen's first season in the NHL was worse than Slafkovsky's first season, and that was his D+2 season. Swapping Slafkovksy, Guhle AND a 5th OA pick in a good draft is insanity.

Same thing that happened to glachenyuk, scherbak, sergachev, poehling, and KK so far, on another team or not even in the NHL.
