Flames aren't trading Weegar and they aren't interested in having 2 Huberdeau's. Bad fit and almost zero cap room to make it reasonably work.

Calgary is going to be cap strapped, and with Sutter gone, Pelletier and Zary will likely get more opportunities, dumping $10M onto Marner won't make them better.

Chicago isn't going to try and rush a rebuild, they need a full rebuild

CGY received a 115pt forward & a Dman that was 8th & 14th in Norris voting the previous 2 seasons a mid level prospect & a 1st for Tkachuk. That is where any type of deal for Marner starts.
