I forgot Patches was a player

Description
For me he is an obvious winger to play with Bedard… he has leadership quality’s excellent finishing, and could be flipped at the deadline for an asset at 50%. We can also overpay him for one year since he won’t have much leverage for a high term/High AAV contract. The athletic has him at 2.1x2.

Carolina are already apparently trying to work it out to bring him back since he just settled down with his kids and they never really got to see him this year, but this would be a very natural fit it seems. I still like Tarasenko more next to Bedard

Patches is an intriguing thought. I've wondered about signing Drouin to play next to Bedard, too - also to a one-year, prove-it deal. Whom would you prefer? Who would generate a higher TDL return, IF he re-establishes himself as a dynamic player who could make solid contributions to a playoff team?
