NSH and NYI trade

Description
I'm expecting rocks, as always.

I'm curious on the value of Askarov for NSH when they already have a great #1 who is 28.

As far as Dobson goes - I saw a couple NYI fan trade him for cheap (which would be a mistake). I see him as one of the top young RD in the league.

I think Habs would be better taking Michkov at 5... but if he isn't available - would NYI do this trade?

I doubt it... but who knows.

My opinion :

I'm fair for Askarov, but overpaying slightly for Dobson.

Nashville has no reason to trade Askarov. He's our future starter when Saros leaves.

Yeah, Altought, it might be the habs that would decline... the thing is that MTL has a bigger need for high-end talent at offense than at D.

But I really like Dobson's game... super solid.

No way MTL does that trade with NY, Dobson is not good defensively. In the playoffs, I 100% rather have a 15-point D who is very good defensively than a D that gets 60 points but can't defend well, so its not worth trading 5th OA for Dobson if you can get that other D option for a 2nd or late 1st.

Great value for Dobson but I think we just keep him. Regressed defensively this year but I'm willing to keep it going and see if his defense comes back. He's still excellent offensively.

Dobson was very good defensively for the isles in the playoffs. The isles controlled play whenever he was on the ice

He's paired with some of the best defensive D in the league, playing on a defensive team. Naturally, he isn't good defensively. Now I haven't watch the NYI playoff games, but still

Habs are moving toward a fast pace, highly offensive style of hockey - Dobson is better than his defensive play showed this year... and he is still super young.
