honestly idk its a really late 1rst eddy is washed but retained and a 5th i value kaliyev as a potential top 6-9 forward with potential 20 goals maybe more?

I respectfully disagree.

There is absolutely no assurance that a guy chosen with the 29th overall pick in this year's draft is going to be as good as Arthur Kaliyev, who looks to me every bit like a future top-6 forward. Moreover, IF that selection turns out to be as good, in all likelihood he will only do so in the 2025-2026 season, whereas Arthur is pretty productive right now. Edmundson is an aged rental with an injury history, so I'm not in favor of this deal at all. If we're desperate for a late 2023 first, I'd much rather send Montreal (or St. Louis) Sean Durzi or Alex Turcotte plus whatever else is necessary to accomplish that objective.
