Don't see Florida moving Verhaeghe for a middle six forward and Lehkonen.
Especially after this year's playoff run.

The Capitals are about the last team in the League that’s going to take on dead salary for a goaltender for a 7th Rd Pick. Washington won’t do that.

I wouldn't really call signing an aging and injury prone Antti Raanta while losing Ilya Samsonov in Free Agency "way better" or better in general really.
Lafferty is suited for a bottom six role, and is way cheaper than Eller and Killorn. You've also got Holmberg in the system that's basically ready to play at an NHL level. You could use that money you spent on those FA's targeting a better goalie or resigning Samsonov, and upgrading the RD and having McCabe play on the left

I agree with the goalies and ladferty not eller. Eller is a great 3rd-4th line Center.

What do you mean Darcy Kuemper sucks? He is a very good starter. .909SV%, and 2.87GAA is not bad in my opinion. He played better in Colorado, but that’s just because Colorado is better. If Washington can ice a good team, he will play way better than he did, however he still played well! If I’m Washington, I don’t trade for Murray, instead, I try and get the offence better for next season.

It's a closer offer for the Avs there but I still say they decline. They need to adress the 2C position rather than waste all their cap on a Marner type.

Doubt the team mattered for the murray deal but I think its going to cost more to dump him with nothing coming back
