Good looking team.

Has Dubois ever played wing and is there any chance of him staying after this season?

I was thinking of making him 2nd line center and putting Geno on the wing and Rakell 1st line RW.

I was originally going to do 14th ovr and Pickering for Ehlers but when I looked at the Winnipeg ACGM almost none had Ehlers being traded, so I decided to go with Dubois instead

Everyone's dreams come true with Sid and Malkin on the same line haha.

Obviously you know what my follow up will be - can Malkin play wing? Obviously it's a much easier transition - do you think there would be any issues?

If Pickering wasn't an LHD, the Jets would look at that. But they're not waiting a year for a 1st for a player they don't need.

Dubois has definitely played wing. He flexed a lot between W/C growing up but was moved permanently to C because CBJ needed him there.

For Geno I wouldnt think there would. Him and Crosby come out together pretty often in games

Maybe Ty Smith instead with another pick? I'm not too sure.

True - fair enough. Would be nice if it happened a little more often tbh

I like this a lot- would be funny because PLD and Sid fought because PLD hit Jake and now PLD is replacing Jake haha

He's still a left shot defenseman. Your prospect pool is so depleted from the past few seasons, that I can't see anything there that the Jets need or would want. Sorry.

Jets may accept. Really depends on what other teams offer. Might have to give more. Maybe not. But it’s reasonable. The jets probably ask for once more piece though.

Why wouldn't they be interested in Pickering? I dont know what you guys have so I'm just trying to get some info

Kraken pass. Don't need another winger, Firkus and the pick are part of a still building prospect pool. More likely to see something like this after next season as contracts start to really come off the books.

Morrissey, Samberg, Dillon, Schmidt, Stanley, Heinola, Chisholm, Kuzmin are all left shot defensemen.

It's not that Pickering isn't good, I like him, he's a nice piece. He just doesn't provide anything to Winnipeg that they don't already have.

Is Pickering better than some of those guys? Probably, but not enough to justify moving one of their most valuable trade pieces to add to their position of greatest depth, while ignoring glaring holes on RHD and center if PLD leaves.

I’d be fine with Pickering. We don’t have a lot of d-prospects coming after this current logjam clears out. He could fit. But as I said before, I’d want another piece simply because he’s not valuable enough to the jets as is. That said, if u offer the 2023 1st and Pickering, it’s a deal.

Or maybe petry, 2024 1st, and a piece for dubois if petry would waive.

I don’t mind the Seattle deal, though I’d choose another piece over Geekie, who is slow and lousy in his own zone. But not so much the other three trades. Zero interest in Grzelcyk, the Pens defense is small and feeble enough with adding that leprechaun. Too much for a year of Dubois when it’s clear he’s not extending and looking forward to going UFA. I don’t like the option of Smith on his offside. Better off starting the year with Rutta on the third pairing with Smith on his L and keep the pick or deal it for something more necessary and useful than Grz.

Rutta wouldn't be the top 4 upgrade Buffalo is seeking but if Botterill returns to Pittsburgh, he can take one of his former draft picks in Bryson in exchange for Rutta. Both would be depth defensemen either way on each team.

If you did any Ehlers trade you would've got ripped for it. Dodged a bullet lol.
