But why?

If they take Michkov we are left with one Smith and Carlsson, it doesnt change anything to trade down 1 spot at that point. We just spending valuable assets for nothing

This is completely pointless. If you know they want Michkov, why not just stay at #5 and draft the same player you would at #4?

I see your point and Agee… but it also protects from someone trading up and jumping you as well.
Would you consider Mailoux and MTL 1st for SJS 1st and Weisblatt, or another solid prospect?

If SJ like Michkov, let them pick him 4th and fon't give away valuable assets for nothing.

IF they don't like Michkov, well they wont be interested to switch pucks with MTL.
