Hanifin with extension, Vladar, and a 6th for 1st, Boqvist, Bemstrom, and our 3rd back?

Don't quite think this would be popular with other CBJ fans, but I'd be very interested in something generally around LA 1st + Boqvist for Hanifin extended. I think Hanifin is super underrated and if some of the prospects pan out, CBJ's top 4 could be nasty in a couple years.

Not really any interest at all in Vladar though. Tarasov requires waivers this season (and would likely be on the big club anyway) and they're locked into Elvis, so as rough as the goalie room looks atm, adding a backup really does nothing for them. I'd probably counter with something like Hanifin + 4th for LA 1st, Boqvist, Bemstrom.

Side note: I think Bemstrom has serious potential that his current value doesn't reflect, but I don't ever see him panning out in Columbus. He's way too good to play in the AHL, but can't really play bottom 6 minutes in the NHL, so you'd need to give him some extra attention to make him work in a lineup, but I do think he could be something if a team sets him up correctly.

Isles don't match up with Columbus. If we are moving Nelson, that means we are rebuilding and would want good young offensive talent and I don't see Columbus moving youngsters like Kent Johnson or Cole Sillinger.

Nelson is not available and Columbus wouldn’t want to pay the price to make it interesting to move him.

Yeah, I think it'd probably be a long shot, but the idea piqued my interest so I figured I'd include it. I wouldn't HATE giving up a package headlined by Sillinger if that was in the cards, but yeah, compared to everything else on here I think Nelson is far and away the least likely.

Kinda wish that Nelson was 2 years younger, CBJ were 2 years ahead, or something along those lines. Nelson isn't quite one of my favorite players, but one that I really have enjoyed watching the past few years and I'm a big fan of his game, so I was interested in the idea, but yeah...super unlikely.

Yeah, that's about what I would be thinking as well. Other CGY fan mentioned something similar, with added parts, but as the core of a deal I like something along those lines. And I'm okay adding Bemstrom as a sweetener like I commented on in my reply to the other guy. Bemstrom, Foudy, something like that.
