Not enough quality coming back in the Marner trade, the 1st round pick is ok, Duchene is alright, everything else is underwhelming

These values are all over the shop. The Marner and Matthews returns are brutal. Meanwhile, why on Earth would Toronto be getting two nice picks back in the Murray deal? Or in the Henrique deal, for that matter?

In other words, yeah, this is probably exactly what they will do. tears of joy Good work.

What about take one of the 2nds and turn it into another 1st. Would that get it done?

The value of our second and third is about the same as the Edmonton first, so why would we throw in Adam Henrique?

If Toronto wants Adam Henrique, we'd be happy to exchange the first two Boston picks, which wouldn't be dependent on any other trade(s).

For a team rebuilding probably, but Toronto is looking to win now, I’m not sure Nashville has the player pieces Toronto would be interested in to improve their roster

I doubt Preds would do that.

I get he's been good, but he's got 2 years left on his deal and he'll probably try to resign in TO anyways. I think playing in a smaller hockey market would be better for him as he focuses less on the media and more on his game. In a different system with different players, he may further develop into an even better player which is why some people might find the return underwhelming. The way I think of it is basically as a 2 year loan while the Leafs get their cap situation and new core + staff sorted out.
