Kings arent trading Arvy to upgrade a mid 2nd round pick to a late 1st. If anything it will be for future assets or something that will help now. A late 1st does nothing for the Kings.

Buffalo might consider depending on Savoie/Kulich readiness for the NHL next season and Mittelstadt’s contract demands. Girard would certainly round out our defense.

Well, as much as I love Viktor, and I love Viktor so much that I'd rather trade Alex Iafallo (much to the annoyance and chagrin of our esteemed colleague @tkecanuck341) than Viktor, I respectfully disagree: I would accept this offer. Trading Viktor solves all of our cap problems, giving us enough space to sign even the most expensive LhD to fill THAT gaping hole, as well as Gabe Vilardi and the rest of our RFAs. So there's something that helps us right now. Moreover, I'd use that 27th overall to select LhD Caden Price, which could go far towards addressing THAT need in a couple of years.

I would pass. Would rather go another way- bigger, defensive minded, and right handed. Value is probably fine, but for me it's not the right fit.

I dont think the Sabres would be Interested in Girard. They need bigger stay at home D, not smaller puck movers. Value is right, just not a fit for Buffalo.
