Ducks have Dostal, if they’re trading Gibson they’re doing it for a package

I was thinking of that but they could maybe take a chance on luukonen and have a solid tandem

Sabres don’t need Schmaltz and Marino isn’t available

That offer isn't enough for Nick Schmaltz.

UPL alone doesn't come close to getting John Gibson out of Anaheim.

And John Marino would get a better offer than that as well.

Schmaltz contract is back loaded and the Yotes are broke, that might be enough for him.

We're not trading a multiple all star goalie for a guy with a sub .900 career sv%. Any team that wants Gibson will have to fork over a package.

We're more than happy to run Gibson Dostal for years, that will be a great tandem.

Doubtful, Detroit has strong interest in Schmaltz reportedly. And would easily offer a better deal than this.

Devils decline. Call back in a year, IF you have a fair offer and IF the devils resign Damon Severson

You do realize in this draft, That there's zero difference in the 13th overall pick and the 17th overall pick the value is the same. And Detroit would likely add a 2nd and prospect which easily beats this offer.

Well it's quite obvious that Detroit needs scoring, And it's not happening through free agency. And Schmaltz is a good start. Along with Travis Konencny or Alex DeBrincat.

Trading that Isles 1st+ for Debrincat makes sense if he can be extended long term which is probable.

Even if everything in this happened, does this really make them cup contenders? This team still feels like it would be on the bubble of a wildcard spot
