Yeah, this is a big no from CLB. The 3OA and a good young 2 way player (even if he had a bad year last year) is not worth a year and a heavy extension for Lindholm.

One year of Lindholm for two young centers is a nonstarter for CBJ.

I'd do the deal in a heartbeat as the Flames, but there's no chance. I'll predict what Button did on lottery day, that Columbus will draft C Leo Carlsson with the 3rd pick. Sillinger and Carlsson together at center, not to mention Kent Johnson (if he remains or gets the chance at center) is worth far more to the Jackets than Lindholm will be, in my opinion. Just not right away.

Yeah 3rd OA in this draft is a deal breaker for Columbus. If the Jackets pick was a bit later they'd have to consider it to reunite Lindholm with little johnny. Would be funny because without Tkachuk helping Lindholm won't be able to cover for johnny's flaws far less both johnny's AND Laine's flaws.

Nope I thought he was all right the first few years but not after that. I wanted him gone years ago. The 99 point year followed by yet another playoff vanishing act was the last straw even Bonehead Brad should have been smart enough to move him then. Good luck with him in Toronto BTW, you'll need a lot of luck with him running things.

I'm optimistic on Brad. He's gonna have an organization that will spend $$ on not just drafting players, but developing them too. Scouting, analysis, the Leafs spend a ton or non cap hit dollars. He didn't have that in CAL (or ARI before as an assistant).

He actually got a great return for Tkachuk (at the time) and you can't blame him for signing Hubby to that contract after the years of high production. And the Johnny G thing was completely out of control. Small market Canadian teams shouldn't draft high end American players.
