Not even close for Auston Matthews, Matthews would cost Detroit Seider and possibly Raymond and Kasper as well. And we sure as hell aren't giving Matthews anywhere close to $14,000,000 to $15,000,000 per long term. Matthews isn't the one we'd be targeting but William Nylander.

This generation is offended by everything. Just expect it. But for the record you have that trade slanted for DET. Veleno has probably become the next punching bag for hockey fans so leave him out. If you’re a DET fan than the real trade will make you puke

That's a tough one. It would obviously come with an extension otherwise the wings wouldn't do it, so it would be a huge price. The leafs would still try to be win now, so you would have to subtract and it would be a significant one. If I was the leafs, I would ask for one of Larkin or Seider and something else.

If would think Larkin would be a much smaller loss if Matthews replaces him and would be a better return for TO's needs bur that would be a starting point. Anything less will be beaten elsewhere.
