Canucks pass on the first trade. Coyotes would probably pass on the second trade

the penguins aren't trading for JT Miller. Canuck fans are losing their mind with this.

Def not for that package. He could very well be in play up until his trade protection kicks in and Pitt would have to be in the mix.

Perhaps for the right return. What are you thinking Crosby and a few 1sts?

That price for Boeser? I'd think NSH takes that no issue.

There is a cap dump in there that you might have missed. You don't have to like it but the value isn't horribly off.

The value is terrible, i'd rather buy out Granlund or find another team to pay with a pick to take him. This deal isn't happening lol.

No proposed deal is happening its a value proposition. Granlund would cost a fair amount to dump. JT MIller is an all star. Who will be awesome as long as Crosby and Malkin are. It's not terrible at all. Also the draft supposedly is a top tier of 12.

Granlund will not cost a 1st to move and the draft is much deeper than 12 players, it's one of the deepest drafts the NHL has seen in a long time.

JT Miller isn't coming to PIttsburgh, and he's not a good value at $8M per year through 2030 lol. It handicaps the penguins when crosby and malkin retire and JT Miller is now 33-35 with multiple years left at $8M, no one is going to trade for that and the penguins will be stuck with him.

Just swapping Granlund and Miller would leave the penguins with $17M in space, They could buyout Granlund and have $24M in space this season, or trade him to dump the cap and have $25M in space. If i'm the new GM i'm taking option 2 or 3 and keeping my 2023 14OA pick, or moving it for something more worth it.

Deep at the top of the draft is what I'm reading. Not necessarily later. Granlund as a pure cap dump, meaning no money coming back will be at least a 2nd. And I'd guess a little more. Different if money is going back though.

It literally doesn't matter if you're stuck with a guy who makes 8 mil when you are rebuilding. Imagine 33 yr old JT Miller was on Chicago right now. Makes no difference. What it does is give you a better chance short term while Malkin and Crosby are still playing well enough to win. Even a draft pick now wont help the team win in the next 2-3 yrs. So trading your pick makes a ton of sense.

Who are you signing with that cap space? The highest scoring UFA scored 64 points and is almost 34. Miller is 30 and has been one of the top scoring players in the league over the last 4 seasons. Top 10 I bet.
