You're asking us to retain half of Ryjo for two years, and then you're giving us a contract we don't need that's worth 5m. That completely negates moving Ryjo lol.
And the compensation is a bust player and a late 3rd.

Gonna have to pass.

I dont see how Nashville retains $4mil, and then takes on Garlands contract- basically costing them over $9mil for 2 years of Garland... Studnicka might have some upside...but not that much, and if the Nucks added Monahan- why do they need Johanssen too? I dont think anyone gets Monahan that cheap.

Despite the poor year for Comtois, I dont see them trading for an older player with a big contract, theyre a few years from competing for a playoff spot- and Boesers deal will be expiring then, while Comtois should be entering his prime years. They dont have cap issues- so there is no reason to move Comtois unless they think hes not a good fit, or he is clashing with mgmt- but nothing Ive heard suggests they want to move on from him.

I can see them moving on from Rathbone- with how well Hirose showed (and Wolanin) along with Hughes on the leftside- adding Rathbone makes their D one of the smallest in the NHL- assuming they move on from Myers. Hronek and Bear arent exactly big dmen either.

To me it looks like Nashville are rebuilding. Garland is the better player vs RyJo despite underperforming and limited PP time. Nashville gets more points and a younger player to fit your core going forward. 3rd Round Pick compensates for the additional 950k for the next couple years

Nice name btw.

If we're rebuilding, why are we taking on additional cap? Moving Ryjo would be something we do to clear cap, not take more on. Garland is also 27, why would a rebuilding team take him?

And if you want us to retain 4m and take on Garlands terrible contract you're going to have to do a lot better than a 3rd imo.

Agree Monahan/Ryjo may be redundant

I see Garland as a positive asset, and as far as I can tell, Nashville doesn't need to worry about the cap.

As for Anaheim, I can see them benefit from some maturity in the top end of the lineup to take the pressure off the kids
