So the Habs give the Sabres a first to take on all those cap dumps, what are they giving up to get Levi?

That defense is still horrid.
Buffalo isn't trading Levi.
And Winnipeg can get a far better trade for PLD as a rental on a contender.

WPG could get a much better return selling Dubois at the deadline as a pure rental to a contender? This leverage argument makes no sense...they aren't just going to gift Dubois to MTL.

The only way Hoffman comes to San Jose is if Karlsson is traded. I can’t imagine the bad blood there has vanished, and Grier doesn’t seem stupid enough to add a player who’s just going to piss off his 100 pt defenseman.

That said, it would be pretty hilarious if the Sharks flipped him a second time…
