Perfect contract. Great captain and leader. Plays humble minutes on the 4th line and everyone respects him. At $6mm, he was a bit much, at $2.5mm for 1 year? Perfect.

If he matches his 28 points from last year, that puts him at ~$89,000 per point. That's Matthew Tkachuk, Eberle, Marchessault, Rantanen-level for reference,

One of the hardest working players in the league, one of the greatest leaders in hockey, and someone who really embodies what we want a Sabre to look like. Fantastic signing, I hope he sticks around past this coming season in a executive role, he's a key guy to have in the franchise in any capacity

So that means only 1 spot is up for grabs. I would have like to seen two, I would say anyone in this list could play better than Okposo: kulich,Savoie,Murphy,Savoie,Rousek,Rosen,Kozak. Maybe Olofsson is traded and that frees up a player that can score and play defense.

yooooo have you tried the strawberry frosty? not the same as the OG chocolate but a frosty is a frosty IMO

Biggest and most important UFA free agent signing since Mark Messier left , Slats and Gretzky hanging by signing with the Canucks.

The Curse of Mess is real...

The NYR went from Conference Finalist to missing the playoffs every season until Messier retired. First year after the Mess retired, the NYR made the playoffs.

The Canucks went from playoff contender to playoff pretender during the 3 years they had Messier and shortly after he left to go back to NY to curse them, the Canucks made the playoffs again.

The Mess is one of the most over rated Nhl'ers in history. The last 7 years of his career, he missed the playoffs each time.
