Do you think Detroit and Buffalo will agree with these trades?
And why would you trade a guy like Jack Rathbone?
That guy deserves to be on the Canucks roster for the future.
Trade somebody else besides Rathbone.

Wings don't really need Rathbone. Replace him with a pick and it should be a deal.

Why? I don't mind Garland at all but I think there are similar free agents that we could sign without giving up a pick.

We also have too many middle 6 forwards and need higher end top 6 guys. Not sure he would be a good fit with us

Garland is a great top 6 guy. So freakn underrated. Great possession player, fast as hell, and shoots right. He's exactly what the Caps need. I do believe they still need to go out and get that top tier guy but Garland would be a steal with a 3rd round pick.

Rathbone has been great in the AHL but his talent hasn't translated very well at the NHL level. Canucks also need more size on their defense. Hughes, Hronek, Bear all 6' or shorter. Need to surround them with big bodies that can win board battles and lay some hits.
