I'm fine w that Tanev trade but I still believe in Silly. In this hypothetical, I see our 3-5 yr future at C as Lindholm, Carlsson, KJ, and Sillinger with Voronkov slotting in at 4C when Lindholm is out and the others bump up.

You just put the team into cap hell. KJ, Texier, Marchenko and Chinakhov will need paid so you will now have to trade off Laine for the next upcoming season.

If Laine has another season under like 60 games, I wouldn't be against trading him. If he plays the way we know he can with the right players around him, Tex and Chinny can each get moved at a discount for whoever gets them.

Overpaying Graves and Raanta did that. Those are unnecessary moves. The CGY trade is a good idea if Jarmo can swing it.

Also, jury is still out on paying Tex and China. Dumais is coming too so there are options.
